Early Years Initial Teacher Training Events

Early Years Initial Teacher Training (EYITT) is the only teacher training programme focused on the birth to five age range. Learn more about this exciting programme and the different routes available to gain Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS) at one of our information evenings. The event is suitable for both practitioners and employers, and we'll also discuss how you apply, entry requirements and the funding available. 

There are currently no EYITT information events scheduled. 

Teacher taster courses

A teacher taster course gives you an opportunity to find out whether teaching is the right career for you. You'll learn about becoming a teacher, spend a day in a school and benefit from practical advice and guidance on your next steps.

We'll be running a taster course for men interested in becoming a primary teacher. Dates will be released soon, in the meantime you can register your interest.

NCTL Train to Teach roadshows

The National College for Teaching and Leadership (NCTL) run a number of Train to Teach Roadshows. Bath Spa University will have a stand at the following events:

  • Saturday 11th November 2017 – Train to Teach Bath, Guildhall, 10:00 to 14:00
  • Thursday 23rd November 2017 – Train to Teach Oxford, Macdonald Randolph Hotel, 16:00 to 20:00
  • Saturday 20th January 2018 – Train to Teach Birmingham, Edgbaston Stadium, 10:00 to 16:00
  • Wednesday 28th February 2018 – Train to Teach Bristol, The Mercure Bristol Grand, 16:30 to 20:00
  • Tuesday 6th March 2018 – Train to Teach Bournemouth, Hilton Bournemouth Hotel, 16:30 to 20:00
  • Saturday 10th March 2018 – Train to Teach London, Congress Centre, 10:00 to 16:00

Sector/postgraduate events

Bath Spa University exhibit at both sector specific teacher education events and postgraduate study fairs. There are currently no fairs or events scheduled, but details will appear here when announced, so keep checking back to make sure you don't miss out.

Frequently asked questions

Can I bring other people with me?

Friends and family are welcome to come with you, however, we request that you bring no more than two extra people with you unless they are also interested in becoming a teacher.

Will I be able to meet with academic staff?

There will be various members of education staff at these events who will be available to answer your questions.
